DrawMRR

DrawMRR is a free tool that lets indie hackers and SaaS founders sketch their MRR journey as a hand-drawn progress bar — then export it as a PNG, JPG, animated GIF, or video to share anywhere.

Why I Built This

Indie hackers love sharing MRR milestones on Twitter/X, but the options are either plain text numbers or boring dashboard screenshots. I wanted a quick way to turn revenue numbers into something that actually looks good in a feed — something with personality. So I built DrawMRR over a weekend.

How It Works

  1. Set your start, current, and goal MRR values.
  2. Tweak the title, unit label, font, and color palette to match your style.
  3. Preview the hand-drawn progress bar with a fill animation.
  4. Hit export to grab a PNG, JPG, animated GIF, or video you can drop straight into a tweet, changelog, or investor update.

That's it. No sign-up, no paywall, no friction.

Features

  • Hand-Drawn Style — Progress bars rendered with a sketchy, rough aesthetic (powered by adjustable roughness) that feels personal and stands out from polished dashboards.
  • Customizable Everything — Choose your font family, color palette, step count, unit labels, and title. Make it yours.
  • Fill Animation — Run a satisfying fill animation to see your progress come to life. Great for screen recordings and GIFs.
  • Multiple Export Formats — Export as PNG, JPG, animated GIF, or video. Whatever your platform needs.
  • Instant Preview — See changes in real time as you adjust settings. No waiting, no rendering delays.

The Build

DrawMRR was a one-to-two day build. It's a simple, focused tool — no backend, no auth, no database. Just a Next.js app with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui for the controls. The canvas rendering handles the hand-drawn aesthetic, and the export pipeline converts it to multiple formats client-side.

I barely used AI in the build. It was a quick project where the scope was small enough to just sit down and ship it.

Free Forever

DrawMRR is completely free. No accounts, no limits, no catches. Just open it, make your visual, and share your milestone.
